It has been a long time since we've had a chance to take pictures off of our camera, so we finally did it today. Although I've put others up in the last month, these are ones that actually come from us... I'll explain each of them briefly:
We had a grill-out last Friday night with a few couples from church and Miriam decided to have a little fun playing in our dirt while Matt was grilling and I was preparing food. I walked outside right before we were ready to eat to find her looking exactly like that. Needless to say, I threw her in the tub and sprayed her down before she had supper. I think we need to buy her a sandbox.
My aunt Barb gave us this set of Brio trains last summer as she was clearing out old toys at their house (her daughter is in high school now). So, we thought Miriam is now old enough to play with them, but I think Matt is actually the one who enjoys them more. He built this extensive freeway-looking track last week while I was tutoring. He is actually working on another one as I'm typing this... he's reliving his childhood.
Miriam had fun playing in the sprinkler at my parents' house. She was a little afraid to get too close by herself, but managed to drag my dad in with her. We've tried it out for her a few times at our house, too. So many fun things to do in the summer!
And there is Miriam helping her Papa wash the car at my parents' house. What kid doesn't love playing in water?
My next post will be a few before and after pictures in our house (finally!).
