I still do.
Because Valentine's Day fell on a Sunday this year, our pastor took the opportunity to preach a message on marriage. The message was a great reminder of how we should show our spouse how much we love and appreciate them on a daily basis. Then, at the end of the service, he invited all of the married couples to renew their vows -right then and there. Since I was on nursery duty that weekend, I usually need to leave the service early to get ready for when the parents come pick up their kids. But, I felt it was important for Matt and I to say our vows to each other again. Even though we first said them just over three years ago, it was wonderful to hold hands, look into each others' eyes, and repeat them to each other yet again. I still mean what I said then and I will always mean it for as many years as the Lord gives us together.
I still do.

about that goal of blogging more...
I haven't done the greatest job of keeping up with blogging this year (as I mentioned I would at the end of last year). I often get so caught up in reading everyone else's blog, that I neglect writing on my own! On that note, enjoy a few of the latest pictures of Miriam (half of them were taken by Grandma because I've also been neglecting the fact that I own a camera, too).

because...
is Miriam's newest way to ask us, "why?" Matt and I both melt when she does it. Basically, she just starts a sentence and hangs on the word "because" until we answer it. For example, she would say... "Mama did that because...." or "we're driving in the van because..." or "I can't watch a movie now because...". It's pretty much adorable. She also occasionally leaves off with other words like "to" ("we're going to..."). It's just so fun to hear her language develop as much as it has in the past few months. She no longer calls herself "you" or only puts a few words together. She's pretty much got plenty of her vocabulary down to carry on a complete conversation with someone. It always shows best when we aren't the only ones who can understand her!
