the face, take two

After I posted the picture of Abbie earlier today, I was reminded of a picture I had of Miriam doing something similar at around the same age.  So, I did some digging tonight and found it:

This is the face I get when Abbie is really excited about something.  And I'm really glad my dad captured it a few weeks ago when we visited them.  Isn't it fantastic?

Happy Easter!

One of the things I love about having two girls is getting them matching clothes.  So, of course, I had to find matching Easter dresses for them.  Unfortunately, taking pictures of their matching Easter dresses didn't go quite as well as I hoped.  But they still looked beautiful!

just a regular morning

...you know, talking with your daughter about the Passover foods she tried last night, listening to your hubby sing in the shower and watching your other daughter climb up and down the rocking chair--and then tumble.  Enjoy this little snapshot of our morning...

singing with Miriam

Miriam loves to sing.  And we love to hear her sing.  Matt followed her around a week or so back at the playground singing "Thomas O'Malley" from the Aristocats.  Well, she actually just repeated the same few lines over and over and over again:

This little one has loved the outdoors since the day she was born.

Even when she was very little, I would often walk her over to a window

and she would calm down if she had been fussy. Now that the weather

is warmer, she has loved being outside yet again. And when we can't

be outside...she climbs on this little stool in her room and watches

outside. She is often there for 5-10 minutes happy and content and

pointing to various things she sees. We're really looking forward to

a great summer with lots of time outside!

my view

Matt and I went to the cities yesterday for my birthday and just now

went to go pick the girls up from his parents' house. As always, it

is so good to see them again!

(Also, the mysterious mess from yesterday was black licorice. I can't

believe she {the somewhat picky eater} will eat it!)
